Brown To Quit Shots

Terry Brown will quit as boss of Aldershot after five years in charge following Tuesday's home match with Weymouth. Brown's wife is ill and he has decided to spend time away from football. Assistant Martin Kuhl will step up until a successor is found.

Brown guided the Shots into the Conference and to the play-off final in 2004, narrowly losing out on a Football League place for the reformed club that left the league in 1992. Since that loss, the Shots have been in indifferent form in the league and have incurred heavy off-field losses that has seen the board admit that, apart from an FA Cup run, they would have been in Administration.
