Westfields game in doubt

Tuesday's local cup game at Westfields is in doubt this morning after a fire at the All-pay stadium.

Crews attended the blaze around 5.30.

Westfields chairman, Andy Morris, has spoken to BBC Hereford and Worcester's Terry Goodwin.

"We had a game here yesterday and everyone left the ground at 6.30 last night.

"At 6.30 this morning we've got no main stand and a game against Hereford United on Tuesday which would probably attract five or six hundred people.

"All the 150 plastic seats are completely burnt. The metal flooring is completely melted. The cladding around the stand is completely gone.

"It's just the main steel structure that's still in place."

Tuesday's game is a Herefordshire Senior Floodlit Cup semi-final which will kick-off at 7.30pm if it goes ahead.

UPDATE 1pm: Fire service have said it may have been deliberate.
