The official Hereford United website has confirmed that French defender Alex Jeannin has left the club by mutual consent. Jeannin, 29, was a regular last season when the club won promotion into the Football League, after his summer move from Exeter.
This season however, has been frustrating for the Frenchman, failing to break into the first team after Christmas despite some encouraging displays before the winter period.
He played a total of 62 times for the Bulls scoring four times including winning goals against Tamworth and Exeter, where the celebrations led to Guy Ipoua's dismissal, but has not featured on the pitch in more than three months.
Update 6.15pm:
The offical Port Vale website confirms that Alex Jeannin featured in a reserve match against Barnsley Youth. Jeannin was a threat with his crossing ability throughout but was sent off near the end of the game for a 'last man tackle'.
