News Round Up

England won the Four Nations tournament in Scotland. They beat Scotland 3-0 on Friday, and beat Wales by the same score today. Wales, coached by Tony Pennock, ended up runners up and are due to host the tournament next summer.

Bristol Rovers' keeper Scott Shearer has agreed a move to Wycombe. The Scot spent most of the season on loan at Shrewsbury following a lengthy injury to Shrews no.1 Ryan Esson. Former Boston boss Steve Evans is expected to be installed as the new man at Crawley, according to BBC Radio Lincolnshire.

Tranmere have rejected Chester's bid for winger Kevin Ellison. The former Chester player is one of two Tranmere players being chased by new boss Bobby Williamson with goalkeeper John Achterberg having been released by the club on Friday after he failed a medical. Former Halifax chairman, and still current owner, Geoff Ralph is facing bankruptcy proceedings. The club is still searching for new owners and have had only Ralph as a serving Director since March.

Dagenham have released Paul Bruce and Tim Cole ahead of a first crack at the Football League. Cole had spent ten years with the club but struggled with injury recently. Bruce failed to feature at all in the second half of the season. Striker Shaun Batt has also been transfer listed.
