Peterboro have failed in their bid to sign Bristol Rovers defender Steve Elliott after the player agreed a new deal with the League One newcomers. Worcester will play both Stockport and Yeovil in their pre-season build up.
Rotherham have signed midfielders Mark Hudson and Peter Holmes. Hudson, 26, was released by Huddersfield after 34 appearances last season. Holmes, also 26, spent seven years at Luton but made just seven appearances last season and spent a month on loan at Lincoln.
Ex-Bull Scott Goodwin has dropped down the divisions to join United Counties League side Wellingborough Town. Goodwin, 28, was captain at Southern Premier side Corby last season - two divisions higher. Chesterfield have signed veteran striker Steve Fletcher on a one year deal. The 34 year old spent 15 years at Bournemouth, scoring just over 100 goals in over 500 appearances.
Macclesfield have signed Boston forward Francis Green on a two year deal. The player is the third to leave Boston after failing to be paid for three months. He scored four times last season, going 25 games without a goal before netting in the final day match at Wrexham.
