Macclesfield have re-signed Blackpool winger Simon Wiles on loan until January. He spent time at the Moss Rose last season, but suffered a knee injury after impressing. AFC Telford lost 5-3 to Chester last night. In the Telford side were Dean Craven, Richard Teesdale and, from the bench, Andy Tretton. Scott Tynan played for Morecambe in their defeat by Carlisle.
Oxford boss Jim Smith has slammed the Conference and Setanta for arranging Thursday night live matches: "All I know is that you cannot expect teams to play on a Thursday night and then again on the Saturday. It seems to me that the league have maybe just taken the money and not thought about the full consequences."
Stockport have signed left-back Paul Tierney on loan from Blackpool for six months following injuries to two other defenders. Peterboro have signed defender Claude Gnapka on a free transfer. The frenchman is claimed to the Peterboro's last signing.
