Travis to join Nuneaton?

Former Bulls wing-back Simon Travis appears to be on the verge of joining Conference North outfit Nuneaton Borough. Travis featured in Boro's victory over Leamington Spa over the weekend, and manager Kevin Wilkin is looking for Travis to join in the coming days.

"Simon hasn't actually signed although we are pretty close. He needs one or two games to get fully fit but will certainly be a valuable asset as he can play in numerous positions" commented Wilkin to IcCoventry.

The news will come as a surprise to United fans who saw Travis hold his own in League Two last season, but will now face the likes of Redditch and Worcester if he makes the move permanent which is looking likely.

Travis has been rumoured to be on trial at Oxford, and was also attracting interest from Torquay and League Two side Stockport.
