Rochdale have added Peterboro defender Guy Branston on loan ahead of their trip to Edgar Street. The 28 year old former Oldham and Rotherham player is on the tenth loan of his career. Peterboro have rebuffed reports that their London Road ground is unsafe. The ground owners have told the press that they intend to shut the ground if safety issues are not resolved, but the club have all the necessary certificates and insurance to comply with regulations.
Macclesfield are believed to be set to lodge a formal complaint with the FA over comments made by MK Dons assistant boss Ray Mathias. The former Macc employee claimed in press reports that they had made an approach for Silkmen winger Kevin McIntyre, a claim vigourously denied by the Moss Rose club. Wrexham have been granted a work permit for Trinidad and Tobago midfielder Silvio Spann. The 25 year old will sign a three year dead at the Racecourse Ground.
One of Halifax's prospective buyers has blamed local paper the Halifax Courier for delaying the deal. David Bosomworth claims the paper's decision to reveal the names of the participants has delayed the deal. Bosomworth's statement, on the official Halifax site, claims the consortium have already spent close to £200,000 on the club including the transfer fee and wages of ex-Bull Daryl Taylor.
Rotherham have released defender Craig Fleming due to a lack of first team opportunities. The 35 year old spent ten years at Norwich before a January move to Millmoor. Notts County winger Myles Weston will miss at least a month with a hamstring tear, but the teenager should be fit for the Bulls trip to Meadow Lane in early October. Meanwhile verteran rule breaker Jason Lee has received a three match ban for an off the ball incident in their match with Brentford. He served five different suspensions last season.
