There were plenty of chances for Hereford United this afternoon but their failure to convert those chances lost them the game.
The stats for the game showed that Hereford had 22 goal attempts of which 13 were on target. Macclesfield had eight on target.
Interviewed on BBC Hereford and Worcester, Hereford's Clint Easton agreed that the Bulls should have scored.
"I was guilty of missing a good one as were a few of the lads. We've got to start converting them," said Easton.
"Even when we were a goal down there were a couple of good chances to pull it back."
Possession wise the Bulls had 54% as against 46% for Macclesfield.
Lionel Ainsworth received an eight for his performance with Brown, Beckwith, Broadhurst and Diagouraga all awarded a seven.
