Another day they will go in says Trewick

John Trewick, the Hereford United coach, told BBC Hereford and Worcester that on another day those missed chances this afternoon would have gone in.

"It's always hard when you lose at home especially by the only goal," said Trewick.

"We've had five decent chances. We need to do a little bit of work on the finishing. Sometimes you get two chances in a game and convert them.

"Lionel got a few crosses in as he always does and looked lively. But the hardest thing in the game is to finish them off.

"Nobody is blaming anybody for missing the opportunities. We've created the opportunities, another day they will go in.

"Strikers, over a season, will miss chances.

"If we continue to create the ratio of chances we have, we will get our share of goals.

"We needed one of the early chances to go in and it would have made it a lot easier for us. Then Macclesfield would have had to come out a bit more and be more adventurous."
