Two out of three attempts go in for Bulls

Hereford United had three attempts on target this afternoon at the Racecourse and two of them landed in the back of the net. They were scored by Taylor and Benjamin (pictured).

Neither goalkeeper was really overworked but Brown had to deal with seven Wrexham attempts on target, one of which he blocked from Eifion Williams and another he just tipped over the bar.

Man of the match Karl Broadhurst receive a mark of eight, most other Hereford players were awarded a seven although Guinan, Ainsworth and Beckwith only received a six.

Possession was given as 57% for the Bulls against 43% for Wrexham.

Hereford were penalised for 15 fouls and Wrexham for eleven. The Bulls were caught offside six times, several times against Robinson, against just once for Wrexham.

Premier referee Phil Dowd dished out three cards for Bulls players. Captain Broadhurst was cautioned for unsporting behaviour, as was Richard Rose. Late in the game Diagouraga found in way in the book for time wasting.

However it was the best result, margin-wise, for Hereford at Wrexham for many years.

Hereford move up to fifth position in the table and would be second had they scored three more goals.
