P J Proby and Hereford United

Back in the sixties there was a singer called P J Proby. He was a Texan who had several hit singles and often toured in the UK.

Currently there is a project to celebrate the singer's 70th birthday and part of that project is to find songs that Proby recorded but were never released.

One such record is said to be a 'Hereford Football Song'. However the project coordinater is uncertain if it ever existed.

(Bit of a mystery around this one as I can't for the life of me think what Proby's connection would be to this song. Thus, I think it further supports what I say at the start some of this information may well be more fiction than fact!)
