Smith has a chance of playing at Shrewsbury

Hereford United's mid-fielder and stand-in captain Ben Smith has a chance of playing against Shrewsbury Town tomorrow.

Smith missed the Rochdale game after picking up a groin injury in the warm-up. Subsequently he could not take part in the Chesterfield game. He is expected to have a late fitness check before manager Graham Turner decides whether to play him.

Turner gave BBC Hereford and Worcester an injury update:

"Toumani Diagouraga is not going to make the weekend. Ben Smith has got a chance. Steve Guinan and Luke Webb are long-term absentees and not making a lot of progress at present."

New loan signing Stephen Gleeson may start alongside Kris Taylor if Smith is unable to play.
