Ellison may feature against Bulls

Striker Kevin Ellison is expected to start for Chester against Hereford United on Saturday according to assistant manager Paul Butler. The front man was believed to have been a transfer target of Graham Turner earlier this season.

"Hereford are probably the best team we've played this season. They played some good football against us, but they have stumbled in recent weeks," Butler told the Chester Standard.

"I'm sure they will be ready for us because they are a young energetic team, but they are liable to make mistakes.

"I just hope that we can have Kevin Ellison available for the match because he has a physical presence, and he can bully people.

"I see Kevin Ellison as a key player against Hereford because he can cause problems when he's in full flight down the left wing.

"I'm sure Hereford will provide us with a challenge and I'm really looking forward to it because we've been playing some good stuff lately."

Meanwhile Chester's Tony Grant will miss Saturday's game. The former Accrington mid-fielder is recovering from a hamstring injury but the game at Hereford has come too soon for him.
