Brown speaks about his move

Former Hereford United goalkeeper Wayne Brown has been explaining why he's moved to Bury.

"It's because of my daughter, Mia.

"I have been down in Hereford for three years and it will be good to see her more often. It's about being a hands-on dad. I will be moving to Manchester which is only a short distance from Mia.

"There are plenty of other goalkeepers out there and I am sure the Hereford fans will soon forget about me. I am quite gutted that I am leaving but I know that I am doing it for the right reasons.

"I have loved everything at Hereford - both on and off the pitch. The social life has been fantastic and I have made a lot of good friends outside football. I have just walked through Hereford city centre and about ten people stopped to shake my hand.

"Getting from the Conference to League One was fantastic. I think the way we went up in style from League Two said it all. I am pleased for the football club and that's down to Graham Turner and John Trewick."

Browns's quotes come from an excellent article, written by Ian Morgan, which appeared in this morning's Hereford Times.

Meanwhile, Trevor Benjamin has rejected a move to Conference North side Kings Lynn. The ambitious Norfolk side are unable to meet his wage demands with the player preferring to stay in the Football League.
