News Round Up

Northampton have signed former Gretna midfielder Abdul Osman. The 21 year old failed a medical over a move to Kilmarnock but passed one to sign a two year deal with the Cobblers. Tranmere have lost striker Steve Davies to Derby for a fee to be decided. The 20 year old is out of contract at Prenton Park, with one offer from the Rams being rejected.

Leeds have been linked with Northern Ireland striker David Healy and Crewe's in-demand forward Nicky Maynard. Healy had a previous three year spell at Elland Road before a £1.5million switch to Fulham saw him score just four Premiership goals. Crewe expect Maynard to go for around £1million, and are struggling for a replacement after their offer for Stevenage striker Steve Morison was rejected and the player signed a new deal at Broadhall Way.

Stockport have denied they have received any offers for Liam Dickinson. It was reported that Derby had lodged a six-figure bid. Rotherham have announced they will charge fans £20 to watch games at their temporary Don Valley home. They are hopeful of escaping further points deduction over their financial problems. Halifax have, unsurprisingly, lost their appeal against relegation. They intend to issue a statement regarding the future in the next day or two.
