Southend have lost the services of midfielder Mark Gower, with the ex-Barnet man choosing newly promoted Swansea over a new two year deal at Roots Hall after four years there. Bristol Rovers are on the verge of signing Swansea striker Daryl Duffy for £100,000 according to the local press. The 24 year old Scot scored just twice in 31 games after a £200,000 move from Hull last summer but was prolific in previous loan spells at Hartlepool and the Swans.
Notts County are signing up supporters to £15,000 tickets for life and beyond. The 'Ambassador' status gives the holder executive seating for life, and the seat can be passed on after death. The Bulls did a similar scheme in the early 80's offering tickets for £500, but the deal was not transferrable. Those still holding the 21 sold get £550 VP Club membership for free for the single fee that is around £1,500 in today's money.
Exeter have announced that their Supporters Trust has passed the 2,500 member mark. The Trust has pledged to donate £65,000 to the club over the coming season. Oldham striker Lee Hughes is the target of a bid from Dundee United. Rotherham face a creditors meeting today, needing 75% of them to agree to a CVA and avoid a further points deduction. Crewe are to complete the signing of Tranmere striker Calvin Zola after being granted a work permit. The 23 year old joins for £200,000 after four years at Prenton Park and 18 goals in 107 appearances.
