Crewe have signed released Birmingham goalie Adam Legzdins on a two year deal. He is memorable to Bulls fans for his performances against us for Alfreton in two FA Cup matches in 2005, and spent most of last season keeping ex-Bull Craig Mawson out of Halifax's starting XI. Leeds are chasing Andy Cole. The former Man Utd striker is looking for a new club after leaving Sunderland.

Stockport are expected to sign Mansfield's free agent Player of the Year Johnny Mullins. The former Kidderminster defender will cost a fee as he is under 24. Setanta are to increase fees payable to Conference clubs for live TV games. While the away side will still only get £2,000, home teams will get the original £5,000 for the first home game broadcast but £13,000 for each subsequent game.

Southend have rejected a £25,000 bid from Cambridge for striker Charlie MacDonald, with Cambridge saying they have accepted a higher bid from a League Two side. Huddersfield have replaced the scoreboard at the Galpharm Stadium with a giant video screen. They have sold 16,000 £100 season tickets for their centenary year and will easily beat last season's average attendance of just over 9,500.
