News Round Up

Yeovil have lost the services of star striker Marcus Stewart after Exeter announced his signing for them last night. The 34 year old has signed a two year deal at St James Park. Press reports say Peterboro chairman Darragh McAnthony will be forced to sell Aaron McLean as his business of international property developer has been hit by the credit crunch. McAnthony has denied the reports, saying he will sue for libel.

The terms imposed on Luton by the FA mean the club will have cost the Nick Owen fronted LTFC 2020 £2.6million by the time they complete the deal. They have already ploughed in £1million to keep the club afloat. Walsall are giving a trial for former Bulls loanee Chris Palmer. The 24 year old, who had a month at Edgar Street in early 2004, was released by Wycombe in the summer.

Stockport have been linked to Chester striker Chris Holroyd. The 21 year old has started only 21 of the 51 games he has played in, scoring five goals, after coming from the youth ranks.
