The Bulls have secured Charlton goalkeeper Darren Randolph on a season long loan deal, the club have confirmed.
The Republic of Ireland u-21 international, 21, has some fine performances against the Bulls to his name in an assortment of loan spells. The 6ft 2in stopper helped Bury to a goalless draw at Edgar Street in March, and saw Accrington beat the Bulls in October 2005.
He has one Premiership appearance to his name, a 2-2 draw for Charlton at Liverpool in May 2007, and played in the Carling Cup for Charlton last season prior to his deployment with Bury. He has also been named in a senior Republic of Ireland squad, but is yet to make his debut.
Meanwhile, former loanee Stephen Jennings has not signed a deal with Tranmere as previously claimed. Their official site today confirmed talks are ongoing and that he remains training with them while a deal is thrashed out. Another former loanee - and potential target - Lee Collins has been named in the squad for Wolves' first friendly with Wrexham on Saturday. He is part of a 23 man squad that is expected to largely play as two seperate sides in each half prior to their visit to Edgar Street.
