Who? Where? Well, The Bulls have just signed one of their former players in Garry Breen.
Belvedere are a Dublin based youth football club founded back in 1971 for youngsters from the north inner City of Dublin. They currently run teams in every age group from 12 to 18. That, in itself, is not unusual. What is frankly amazing is the number of professional footballers that have emerged from the club. Garreth O'Conner (Bournemouth), Richie Foran (Southend), Kevin Thornton (Coventry), Curtis Fleming (former Middlesbro), Stephen Elliot (Wolves), Robbie Ryan (ex Millwall), Tom Butler (Swansea), Stephen Kelly (B'ham City), Alan Sheehan (Leicester), Wes Hoolahan (Norwich) and the list goes on and on.
They have won over 100 major Irish trophies and their list of former players who have won International Caps at various levels is now approaching 200! In 2007/08 no less than eight Belvedere players were included in the National U15 and U16 squads.
Garry Breen was born in Kilkeeny and joined Manchester City following time at Belvedere.
