Turner says he's experienced and enthusiastic enough

Graham Turner has told the Hereford Times that despite only taking one point in the last few games, it's business as usual at Edgar Street.

"But that is what has happened and, in a position like this, there is no hiding place for anybody. We all have to take some responsibility for what has happened but mostly it comes down to my accountability," said the Hereford United manager.

"I am not planning on falling on my sword. At a time like this, strong leadership is required.

"I am experienced enough - and enthusiastic enough - to do what is necessary."

Meanwhile Turner saw next Saturday's opponents Brighton and Hove Albion play at Leeds last Saturday.

"They have one or two good players," he said.

"They now have Robbie Savage on loan and he is their focal point in midfield.

"But we certainly need to improve our defending as a team and that is what we have been working on this week.

"The biggest problem for the players is that the Withdean is a strange place for them to go to play.

"There is a running track all round the ground and the stands are a long way away. It creates a strange atmosphere."
