The Bulls hammered Oldham 5-0 in today's League One match at Edgar Street, moving them to within three points of safety.
A first half hat-trick from Steve Guinan, his first in nearly two years, and a brace of goals from Lionel Ainsworth hardly did justice for the gulf in class shown today by two sides that acted like they were both at the wrong end of the table.
A crowd of 3,342, with 703 visitors (though that number had dramatically reduced by the end), watched the Bulls boss the game from the very start as the veteran pairing of Lee Hughes and Dean Windass were well marshalled at one end and the Bulls wingers terrorised their full backs at the other. The Oldham defence was so leaky even a late run from a streaker went unchallenged.
Full report later.
