Chester's 'major sponsors' Cestrian Trading are undergoing insolvency proceedings. The company is one of owner Stephen Vaughan's companies and was announced as a five year sponsor, for up to £500,000, in the summer to replace Bournemouth-bound Paul Baker's company. The company was originally a mobile phone and computer processor importer and exporter, and was previously investigated by HMRC under their 'missing trader' VAT fraud probe, but is currently believed to be operating the club shop.

Leeds have signed Ipswich central defender Richard Naylor on loan for a month. The 31 year old has over 300 games for the Tractorboys. Luton's trip to Chester on Tuesday was the lowest Football League crowd to see the Hatters since World War II. Northwich claim they have had their transfer embargo removed. Leigh Genesis hope to finally move into their new Sports Village home at the end of February after new backers were found for the club.

Hartlepool have signed Watford striker Liam Henderson on loan for three months. The 19 year old has made only six sub appearances for the Hornets, and is yet to score. Ex-Bull Lee Collins has been told he can leave Wolves on a free transfer, and is in negotiations for a permanent move to Port Vale. Peterboro are claimed by The Mirror to be lining up a £100,000 move for wanted striker Andy Bishop, only a quarter of what other clubs are claimed to have bid.

Huddersfield have loaned striker Daniel Broadbent to Rushden for an intial month. The teenager has only had limited sub appearances for the Terriers. Millwall have signed Charlton striker Izale McLeod on loan for the rest of the season. The former MK Dons man has scored only once since is £1.1million move in August 2007. Carlisle have rejected a £25,000 offer from Colchester for winger Simon Hackney.

Yeovil have confirmed the signing of Luke Rodgers on a free transfer. The former Shrewsbury and Port Vale forward has signed a deal until the end of June. Millwall have lodged a £100,000 offer for Stevenage striker Steve Morison, with Crewe, Leyton Orient, and Peterboro all monitoring the situation. Walsall have lost their head of youth development, who has taken a job with Stoke.
