Chester's 'major sponsors' Cestrian Trading are undergoing insolvency proceedings. The company is one of owner Stephen Vaughan's companies and was announced as a five year sponsor, for up to £500,000, in the summer to replace Bournemouth-bound Paul Baker's company. The company was originally a mobile phone and computer processor importer and exporter, and was previously investigated by HMRC under their 'missing trader' VAT fraud probe, but is currently believed to be operating the club shop.
Leeds have signed Ipswich central defender Richard Naylor on loan for a month. The 31 year old has over 300 games for the Tractorboys. Luton's trip to Chester on Tuesday was the lowest Football League crowd to see the Hatters since World War II. Northwich claim they have had their transfer embargo removed.
