Only three matches survived the freeze in League One today, two of them thanks to undersoil heating. Leicester stretched their lead at the top thanks to a 3-0 defeat of Leyton Orient, for whom Tamika Mkandawire was booked. Carlisle dented Leeds' hopes of promotion with a 2-0 win at Elland Road, while Northampton and Huddersfield played out a 1-1 draw. The Terriers move above local rivals Leeds into ninth place.
League Two also saw only three games. Bury move up to fourth after beating Barnet 1-0, while Brentford stay second after a 2-2 draw at Lincoln. Notts County beat Exeter 2-1 in the other game. With most Conference sides playing in the FA Trophy there was only a limited programme of games, but both were postponed.
