Three to miss Cheltenham Game

Hereford United will go to Cheltenham will just three players unavailable because of injury. Craig Samson, Stephen O'Leary and Clint Easton will miss out.

"We've got a reasonable squad available to pick from going to Cheltenham," manager Graham Turner told BBC Hereford and Worcester.

"Craig Samson joins the injury list. He's got a problem with his groin and he will have surgery on Monday which will keep him out for several weeks.

"Peter Gulacsi from Liverpool, only a young goalkeeper but they rate him very highly. They're telling me what a mature goalkeeper he is - don't worry about his age. He will get an opportunity.

"He's been in Italy this week, played for the Hungerian under 20's. I think they lost 3-0 but he had an outstanding performance so we hope he takes that into the Cheltenham match.

"Big ordeal for a young player, but he should be okay. Young Peter has got to do the job for us."

Turner also spoke about his other new loan signing Febian Brandy.

"We've brought Febian Brandy in from Manchester United. He had a spell at Swansea earlier in the season. Started a couple of Championship matches, came on as a sub in a few games.

"He's not at his sharpest right at the moment but he can score goals. He's very sharp and mobile at his best so we've got to get him through a period as he hasn't played much football and get him doing what he does best which is setting up chances and scoring chances."

Turner hasn't ruled out bringing more players to Edgar Street.

"We've got a lot of games coming up and if there is a possibility of bringing somebody else in we will do that."

The Hereford United manager admitted that training had been difficult recently with the wintery weather.

"We were fortunate that this week there was a game arranged against Wolves at their training ground and it was in good condition and we were able to get a game.

"I took the entire squad over plus a couple of trialists and everybody got part of a game."
