Excellent Support for Bulls at Gresty Road

Manager Graham Turner must have been pleased with the excellent support for the Bulls yesterday at Gresty Road.

Around 750 fans are thought to have been in the away stand which, for a change, was alongside the pitch as opposed to behind one of the goals.

It was an easy to find ground especially from the M6 and there was ample parking right next to the stadium as well as a quite reasonable chippie.

For those who decided to take the train, the station was no more than a couple of minutes away.

Whilst on entering the stand supporters were asked by the stewards to sit in the allocated seat, there was enough room to move elsewhere.

Other than a handful of fans running onto the pitch after Toumani Diagouraga scored for the Bulls there was no trouble in the ground. The attitude of both the stewards and police helped.

A few supporters were disappointed with the decision to close the pubs after the game and try to encourage all who had travelled by train to take a so-called football special back to Herefordshire.

Others questioned why British Rail could find a few extra coaches for the return journey and couldn't for the outward journeys some of which were quite crowded.
