Season Ticket Sales Steady

There was a steady sale of season tickets before yesterday's game at Edgar Street.

The books are in the same format as usual except that voucher K has been replaced by a voucher entitling a 10% discount on one replica shirt. It therefore appears that the days of getting 10% off most items in the shop, on production of a season ticket, are over.

How well sales of season tickets are going is, as ever at this time of pre-season, difficult to judge.

This supporters stand ticket, puchased yesterday, is number 143. Last season it was number 263 but the ticket was bought one week later.

With no early bird sales discount there is little reason to purchase a ticket until a few days before the season starts other than for convenience reasons.

So, hopefully, the queues will be longer next Saturday before the final pre-season game against Walsall.

A couple more signings might boost sales, especially if a forward with a eye for goal can be persuaded to come to Hereford.

Meanwhile over at the club shop, new systems have been introduced. Credit cards are accepted and the merchandise is bar-coded.

There was plenty of stock of the new home shirt (pictured) and other kit. And by next weekend the new away shirt is expected to be on sale.

Finally the pitch looked in good condition especially considering the recent wet weather.

There had been some very heavy rain in the Hereford area on Friday morning.
