Ex-Bulls Pair Expect More

Former Bulls pair Tony James and Andy Williams are expecting more from this season with their respective clubs.

Willo, on the transfer list at Bristol Rovers, has told the press he wants to come off the transfer list and stay with the Pirates: "Last season didn't work out exactly how I would have planned. I never wanted to go out on loan but I was told to go and get some games and confidence.

"It didn't quite work out that way and I was disappointed to be put on the transfer list when I came back. I have worked hard over the summer to try and get myself back into the manager's plans.

"I'm just going to keep working away to do whatever I can to get myself off the list. The manager has given me a fair crack at things and treated me the same as all the other boys. I hope I'm showing him that I'm responding positively to that at the moment."

Meanwhile James has told the Burton Mail about his disappointment of sitting on the bench for the first few matches: "I was obviously disappointed not to start the season but then the manager's just come in and taken everyone at face value and you've just got to accept that, but I didn't get too down about it, waited for my opportunity and, luckily enough, I've managed to play the last few games. It was nice to come in and for us to keep a clean sheet at Lincoln."
