Accrington have been given a further seven days to clear their tax bill.
The club admitted last night that some transactions had failed to complete in time in order to clear the full £308,000 demand, but reports from the court today say they have accumulated a further £125,000 of debt to the taxman outside the current demand.
The club has paid just £96,000 of the outstanding amount, while the PFA are reported to be ready to put £100,000 in to keep the club running and former shareholder Ilyas Khan, who walked away after a series of rebuffs from the board, is to also contribute to keep the club going.
Supporters are already questioning why only £96,000 was paid off when the fundraising was reported to have raised £116,000. They are to hold a vigil tonight at the club.
Meanwhile Portsmouth have been handed a transfer embargo for unpaid footballing debts. It would be interesting to know whether the Premier League strugglers have paid the Bulls their share of the gate money from the Carling Cup match earlier in the season.
