In his latest column for the Hereford Times, John Trewick has expressed his view that the attendances at Edgar Street are a cause for concern.
"We had around 2,700 there on Saturday of which 450 came from Nottingham while for our previous game, the gate was around 2,200," said the Hereford United manager.
"Even for the Shrewsbury game, we only had around 2,300 of our own supporters in the ground.
"We are all aware of the financial difficulties in the world at the moment and we are certainly not the only ones who are seeing gates drop a little.
"In the current financial climate, people are watching how and where they spend their money and that is understandable.
"When it comes down to the nitty-gritty, football is not immune from what is happening in the rest of the world. But, as we all know, it is in the difficult times that we have to stick together and work even harder to achieve our common goal."
