Men who watch football can suffer domestic abuse

One out of every six men who watch Hereford United, if statistics are to be believed, are likely to suffer from domestic abuse and/or domestic violence at sometime in their lives.

However help is at hand according to the charity The ManKind Initative.

Men watching Hereford United play football every week can be typically embarrassed and ashamed of what is happening to them and may not know how or where to get help. But there is help - the ManKind Initiative is a charity that provides a help-line for male victims and to coincide with National Domestic Abuse Awareness Week (28th November - 5th December) they are raising awareness of their helpline so that any man suffering knows who to contact.

If you are one of those men or know a mate who is suffering, please call their confidential help-line for information, support or simply someone to talk to ring 01823 334244.
