News Round Up

Port Vale reckon their various postponements due to the weather will cost them £100,000 in lost revenue. Ex-Bull Richard Jackson has signed a new deal with Burton to keep him there until the end of next season. He has played all three of their games since arriving at the start of December. Northampton have signed former Coventry midfielder Kevin Thornton on a short term deal. He has been playing for Nuneaton Town since leaving the Sky Blues earlier this season.

Accrington boss John Coleman wants the FA to call off all football for two weeks to avoid the current uncertainty over the weather. Grimsby have loaned striker Chris Jones to Neath until the end of the season. The former Swansea trainee has not started a game in three months. Torquay have loaned defender Chris Todd to Newport for the rest of the season.

Stockport have sold Carl Baker to Coventry for an as yet undisclosed fee. Ex-Bull Danny Blanchett has been confirmed as a loan signing by AFC Wimbledon until the end of the season, when his Peterboro contract expires. Kettering chairman Imran Ladak has quit as chairman, and will cut spending at the Poppies. He blames the lack of progress on a new ground, saying the club no longer has enough time to build a new site before their current lease expires.
