Last League Two Fixture Falls

There will be no League Two football tomorrow after the last game fell to the weather.

Northampton's home match against Chesterfield became the final match to be abandoned this afternoon, leaving all twelve games postponed. Ten of the twelve League One matches are also off, and all three Conference ties have been called off with a number of FA Trophy games also frozen out.

Ex-Bull Jimmy Harvey has called for non-league football to switch to summer matches, telling the Daily Post: "The pluses that summer football brings are immense. Pitches are immaculate, supporters can watch games in shirt sleeves, and the whole experience would be a much more pleasant affair. Another major benefit for clubs at our level is that I am sure it would create bigger crowds and of course greater revenue, which has to be attractive."

Harvey may not have a team to go back to when Chester do get a game on. The local radio station has confirmed that players have not been paid for either November or December, allowing them to walk away for free once they have served notice, and three players are already in talks with other clubs.
