No Hope for Cheltenham Game

Saturday's League Two match between Cheltenham Town and Hereford United will be called off but probably not until Friday.

This morning there are five inches of snow covering the Whaddon Road pitch. And despite claims that covers might be used, the ground was already frozen before last night's snow.

Football League regulations normally do not allow pitch inspections until the day before the game but Cheltenham say they are 'awaiting further advice' from the Football League Headquarters.

Meanwhile Racing at Hereford scheduled for Sunday has already been cancelled. Officials say that there are four inches of snow on the course.
