The FA have changed the cut off date for suspension from five yellow cards.
In the past any player amassing five cards before the end of February had to serve a one month suspension. For this season, however, the FA have brought the date forward to December 31st.
The news will be welcomed by Hereford United's Ryan Valentine who is currently on four yellow cards.
The new rule is that any player who reaches ten yellow cards before April 11th will miss a game.
