Rose to have Fitness Test

Hereford United defender Richard Rose faces a fitness test before the Port Vale game tomorrow.

Otherwise, with the exception of Ryan Green and Lee Morris, manager John Trewick has an injury-free squad to pick from and may include his two new signings, West Brom youngsters Paul Downing and Lateef Elford-Alliyu, in the starting eleven.

"They both have incredible belief in their own abilities," Trewick told the Worcester News.

"Paul is a calm and assured central defender.

"He has good distribution and reads the game well from the back. Lateef is a sharp player. He is very creative and can invent things in the final third of the pitch — hopefully he can get us a few goals as well."

Trewick watched Vale last Tuesday when they played Rochdale.

"We went through what we are planning to do against Port Vale yesterday and we go there knowing what we need to do."

No new signings at Edgar Street have been announced since Monday but Trewick is still hopeful of adding to his squad.

"I will be disappointed if I can’t bring in at least one new face before the window closes."
