Hereford United manager John Trewick has praised his young defenders who worked hard last night to help the Bulls defeast Lincoln City.
"I've watched Paul Downing and he can play the game, he's intelligent, takes up good positions and his use of the ball is good, " Trewick told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"He's very calm for an 18 year old and has a mature head.
"Young Tyler (Weir) at left back showed a lot of maturity.
"Not forgetting Sam Gwynne. He's like a little Rotweiler at right back and does a job there. He does a job wherever he plays for the team.
"Darren Jones completing the line-up.
"So I was pleased to keep the clean sheet."
