Another Striker joins the Bulls

Young Birmingham striker Jake Jervis (picture from Wikipedia) has joined Hereford United on a youth loan for a month subject to Football League approval.

The 18-year-old, who last week put pen to paper on a two-and-a-half year professional deal at St. Andrew's, is aiming to benefit from first team action with the Bulls.

A product of the Blues Academy, Jarvis is the current top scorer this season for both the Blues reserve and Under-18 sides and made his first team debut as a substitute during the FA Cup win at Everton's Goodison Park in January.

A short profile adapted from Wikipedia:

Following three goals in three games for the academy, Jervis made his first-team debut coming on as a substitute for Christian Benítez in the FA Cup in January 2010 against Everton F.C. at Goodison Park. He played the last eleven minutes to protect a 2-1 victory for the Blues of Birmingham. Jervis later described his debut as "the best experience I've had so far in football."

After impressing on his debut, reports stated that Jervis was attracting interest from numerous League Two clubs, who expressed their interest to take him on loan. Jervis told the Birmingham City official website: "I'm trying to get out on loan which will give me more experience."
