Hay Festival

It's just under three weeks to the start of the annual world famous Hay Festival which takes place twenty miles west of Hereford. And for the fifth year running Bulls News will be running a car park the profits from which will be given to Macmillan Cancer Support.

The Guardian Hay Festival takes place just outside the Welsh Border town of Hay on Wye. It starts on Thursday May 27th and lasts until Sunday June 6th.

As ever the organisers have been busy attracting guest speakers. This year they include Stephen Fry, Nigel Mansell, Michael Mansfield, Ian Blair, Brian May, Max Hastings, Melvyn Bragg, Mark Kermode, John Simpson, Tom Stoppard, and Chris Evans.

Comedians include Rob Brydon, Ed Byrne, Ross Noble, Tim Minchin and Marcus Brigstoke.

Music from, amidst others, Christy Moore, Beth Orton, Bonobo, Laura Marling and Toumani Diabate.

And at the nearby Baskerville Hall, DJ Moneyshot, The Whip, Thea Gilmore, Chavo and DJ Kobayashi, and The Mash-up with Favaad Iqbal.

And if you are driving to the Festival, please consider parking with BN. We've raised £54,000 for Macmillan to date and our aim is £100,000.
