9am Release of New Fixture List

Next season's fixtures for Hereford United will be released at the earlier time of 9.00am on Thursday June 17th, not 10am as reported elsewhere.

The Press Association has decided to bring forward the timimg of the release of the lists, which cover all the main divisions.

Media outlets will receive the details around 7.30am to enable them to 'formulate' the lists ready for publishing at 9.00am.

"Football has received many representations from news organisations seeking an earlier release time and an earlier embargo time to suit publishing deadlines and internet news services," said David Folker, General Manager of Football DataCo Ltd, the licencing company that governs the release of football fixtures.

"So, after an extensive internal review, football has agreed to pull the start of the delivery of the fixtures forward to 7.30am and, consequently the time of the embargo from 10.00am to 9.00am. Football sees this as a positive move in an increasingly news-hungry world which we hope will be approved of by its many fans."
