Port Vale are to give a trial to Nantwich defender Ritchie Sutton. The 24 year old was released by Crewe three years ago and has drifted around non-league. Accrington defender Darren Kempson has chosen to turn down a deal there and drop into the Conference with Grimsby on a two year deal. Stanley may also lose out of former keeper Kenny Arthur to the Mariners, with both clubs making the free agent an offer.
Bradford boss Peter Taylor has dismissed speculation linking him to the vacant Notts County job. Stockport's incoming owners have offered all the existing playing staff new one year deals, but the management team have not been spoken to. They currently have no friendlies lined up either. Rotherham intend to keep hold of striker Ryan Taylor despite interest from Exeter, where he spent a period on loan this term.
Gloucester have said they will have to charge £12 adult admission for their Conf North fixtures to cover the cost of ground sharing with Cheltenham. Lincoln's out of contract pair Steven Lennon and Brian Gilmour have both failed to agree to their new deals by the deadlines given by the club. Morecambe are hoping to sign loan striker Phil Jevons on a permanent basis following his release from Huddersfield.
Millwall have confirmed they are in talks with Tamika Mkandawire about a move to the new Championship club. Yeovil are to undergo a restructuring of the company so that the ground is held by a seperate company than the club itself. An official statement says the move is necessary to 'raise capital'. Southend have admitted they have failed to pay their wage bill for May on time. They say the money was delayed and will be paid in due course. They also state that they will be making some redundancies, with up to 10% of their current workforce likely to be cut.
Torquay have announced the signing of striker Billy Kee on a two year deal. The 19 year old scored nine times in 15 starts and 22 sub appearances for Accrington last term. Rotherham have released Mark Lynch and Marc Joseph in addition to the six released yesterday. Lynch played at Wembley, but Joseph hadn't featured for the first team for two months.
