Former Hereford United winger Marc Pugh has said that whilst other clubs were interested in his signature, moving to Bournemouth will give him the chance to play regularily.
"There were clubs from higher leagues interested but I came down, met the management and staff and it all seemed to fit into place," Pugh told the Bournemouth Echo.
"There’s no point going to a bigger club for more money if you’re not going to be playing first-team football. Jason and Eddie have said that I’ll be playing and it’s just a big opportunity.
"It ticks all the boxes for me."
Pugh revealed he will be leaving his base at Shrewsbury with his wife to a new location on the south coast.
Hereford United will be entitled to some compensation as Pugh is under 24. It is expected that a FA tribunal will rule on the amount.
