With no manager, and only seven players, the Bulls are still only 3/1 to beat Crewe in the opening day fixture.
The bookies have wasted no time in issuing odds for the first day of the season, with Crewe odds-on favourites with all but one of the six bookies to issue odds. Only Corals offer even money on the Railwaymen, with the draw a best-priced 5/2 and the Bulls widely available at 3/1.
In the season betting there has been little movement overall. Gillingham remain overall favourites with Bradford, Rotherham, and Wycombe all close behind. Shrewsbury, despite their recent announcements, remain available at 20/1 and the Bulls are still available at 60/1 with Victor Chandler although the 50/1 available with William Hill has now gone.
If you fancy a bet on one of the cups, the Bulls are 3000/1 to lift the Carling Cup - and 5000/1 to take the FA Cup.
