David Keyte has been named as the new Chairman of Hereford United at today's press conference.
Tim Russon is the new Vice Chairman.
Keyte was a footballer with the club's reserve side in the 1970's, and has up to this summer been principal at Bredon School, just outside of Tewkesbury. He has an interest in ID Sports, a sportswear firm based in Malvern.
Tim Russon spent several years as Head of Sport for ITV Central News South. His website offers his services currently as a film producer for promotional and broadcast work.
Speaking to the press conference, Keyte said they would be assisted by Joan Fennessey for a few weeks to aid the transition. They will continue the development of the Blackfriars End, with the completion not expected until the end of the 2010/11 season.
The managerial appointment will be their top priority. A new request for applications was made at the start of the week and a three man shortlist has been compiled from more than 30 applicants. They aim for a top ten finish for the coming season and are looking for a more experienced manager considering their own lack of experience in football.
The pair want to talk to the community and take on board ideas for the club. They are open to suggestions and offers of assistance.
