MP Welcomes New Faces

Hereford MP Jesse Norman has welcomed the arrival at the club of the new Chairman and Vice Chairman, giving us this statement:

Hereford's Member of Parliament and avid Bulls fan Jesse Norman has welcomed the appointment of local businessman David Keyte as Chairman and TV personality Tim Russon as Vice-Chairman.

Mr Keyte’s successful bid for the club was announced on Friday after more than a decade of ownership led by Chairman Graham Turner and Joan Fennessey, the Company Secretary.

Jesse said: “Graham and Joan’s combined service to the club amounts to nearly 50 years, which is unheard of in today’s topsy-turvy world of football.

"Along with Bulls supporters everywhere, I want to pay tribute to their dedication and hard work to ensure the survival and success of the club. Thanks to their efforts, we now have a club which has enjoyed six years' consecutive profits, with a new stand in prospect.

Jesse added: “Supporters were understandably a little apprehensive about the possible change of ownership. But the reaction has been very positive so far, reflecting the local view that Tim Russon and David Keyte are genuine ‘football people’.

"I am particularly enthused by their vision to integrate the club more with the local community and will do everything I can to assist. I look forward to meeting the new management team very shortly.”
