Slightly Disappointed says Pitman

Speaking to BBC Hereford and Worcester after this afternoon's game, caretaker manager Jamie Pitman said he was slightly disappointed with the result.

"We had enough chances in the game," said Pitman. "But to be fair to them they had a few chances as well towards the end.

"We didn't pass it as well as we would have liked but even saying that we still got good balls into Mathieu Manset and he's done well getting in behind. Just on the odd occassion we might well have got something out of the game, more than the point we got.

"Their keeper has brought off three or four very good saves today and Adam has done exactly the same."

Guillem Bauza was missing from the Hereford squad this afternoon.

"He just tweaked his groin on Thursday. We didn't think it was worth risking him due to the fact there's another thirty odd games left of the season. Kenny Lunt is more than capable of playing in there. I thought he was excellent today.

Manset scored the Hereford goal.

"Matty looked very good. We knew how we wanted to play against them today, particularily getting behind them very early and Matt was able to do that. He was unfortunate may be not to score a couple more.

Stuart Fleetwood came on as a sub in the second half.

"He's still not quite 100%. I know what he's about. When he came on he caused them problems."

And the inevitable question about the vacant manager's position.

"None the wiser, board meeting on Wednesday."
