Bradford City appear optimistic that Saturday's game against Hereford United will go ahead given that they think the weather will improve.
"The weather predicted for today is holding firm and we expect that temperatures will start to rise from mid-morning onwards," said director Roger Owens.
According to the BBC the temperature around Bradford is expected to rise to 2C later today and to 5C tomorrow. However fog is forecast for tomorrow which, if extensive, might keep temperatures somewhat lower than predicted.
Here's an update from the Bradford OS:
Valley Parade has been a hive of activity all today (Thursday) as groundstaff and supporters join forces to help clear the pitch and surroundings areas of snow and ice.
Groundsman Mick Doyle has been kept busy throughout the morning with the task of removing the several inches of snow which currently lie on top of the Valley Parade pitch.
At the same time, fellow staff members and City supporters have tried to rid the pathways and terraces of any ice and remaining snow to ensure they are safe for supporters come Saturday.
The football club have also hired in a JCB to clear some of the car parks surrounding the Coral Windows Stadium.
