Port Vale have rejected the takeover approach from businessman Mo Chaudry. Around 100 fans protested outside last night's AGM where the board were criticised for their handling of the club by 200 present shareholders. The board say they have a 30 page document from an American consortium to consider.

Shrewsbury midfielder Craig Disley, who was subbed off during their match with the Bulls three weeks ago, has been told he must rest for three weeks or face surgery on a hip problem. Stockport have extended the loan of Burnley striker Wes Fletcher for a third month. The teenager will stay at Edgeley Park until Jan 15th.

Northampton midfielder Ryan Gilligan says he will wait for the summer to have an operation on his troublesome ankle problem. He has struggled all season with the injury, but will carry on to help the club up the table. Burton have signed midfielder Bryan Hughes on contract until January. The free agent 34 year old left Hull in the summer.

Kidderminster 'have had a very limited response so far' to their cash call to fans in a bid to raise £150,000 by the end of December. They acknowledge that the time of year and current economic climate is likely to limit offers. Welling United have paid off a £97,000 tax bill a day early after fans raised £60,000.

Mansfield have agreed to meet former chairman Keith Haslam, the owner of Field Mill, over their current dispute. They have confirmed that proposed moves to Ilkeston or Alfreton are off the cards due to the Conference demands yesterday for the club to use an 'A' graded ground, leaving Notts County as the likely destination if talks fail. The club has questioned large dividends paid to Haslam's company during the final days of his reign.
