Doncaster Rovers are facing a striker shortage and the one player who could have stepped in is currently on loan with Hereford United.
Last night Donny were defeated 6-0 by Ipswich with Hereford-born Connor Wickham scoring a hat-trick.
They had gone into the game without a recognised striker and Waide Fairhurst who scored two goals for the Bulls at Cheltenham last Saturday can't help.
"Waide has been on the bench for whoever knows how long," said Donny manager Sean O'Driscoll.
"And we've never put him on; it's unfair on the kid.
"In hindsight, we would have kept him and he would have played tonight. He had a chance to go out and play football. At this minute in time, it looks a foolish decision. But at the time, we had Steve Brooker, James Coppinger, Ryan Mason and Billy Sharp and we could mix and match.
"Suddenly in the space of two games, we have nobody."
